Celebrating a Decade of Dedication
We love celebrating team milestones and we recently had two special ones to reflect on, as we marked 10 years of Chris Brown and Dan Warrington being part of the Smudge team.
Long service milestones, such as the ones Chris and Dan have reached, are more than numbers on a calendar. They're testament to a culture that attracts and retains talented people. In an operating environment where change feels like the only constant, having team members who've dedicated themselves to a company for over a decade is rare and invaluable. We believe this is an achievement that deserves more than just a passing mention.
Beyond an indicator of a healthy culture, the most important aspect of this milestone is the continuity it has provided for our customers. At Smudge, we we want to build lasting relationships with customers based on trust. That's how we can add the most value to their business.
As we watch the likes of Chris and Dan in their day-to-day work, we notice how they exemplify our values by solving problems with the user at the centre of their thinking. Their retained knowledge, experience and understanding means that our customers have a partner who anticipates their needs. This helps us shape our customers' product strategies and ensure that project outcomes align with their objectives and business goals.
We also notice that the long service of key team members profoundly impacts the rest of the Smudge team. Newer employees gain a sense of stability and recognise opportunities to grow with the business. Over the years, Chris, Dan and others have become mentors to newer team members, accelerating their personal and professional development. We’ve found this to be incredibly motivating and helpful in fostering a positive and ambitious work environment.
To Chris, Dan and everyone else at Smudge who brings their talent, passion and dedication every day: thank you. Here's to many more years of collaboration, innovation, and making a meaningful difference to our customers and the people they serve.
